The Laws and Punishments

Lucifer, after gaining control of both heaven and hell, wrote a few of laws to govern all immortals (occasionally excluding himself). Before you know the laws, you should know the punishment system. There are only six methods of punishment that are broken into three groups.
Primary punishments are for lesser crimes or first time offenders. Secondary punishments are for more serious crimes or repeated offenders. Final punishments are the end of the line- resulting in death. The fist law is an immortal may not kill another immortal, so there is no death sentence- but they can bring the violator to a near death state, abandon them, and hope that they die. Final punishments are for very serious crimes or frequent offenders.
The amount of time the primary and secondary punishments are carried out for depends on the crime. The final punishments are permanent and are intended to end in eventual death. Because there are so few laws, when one is broken usually multiple methods of punishment are exercised on the violator. Violators of the laws are usually over punished to be made example of.

Primary Punishments
1) Solitary confinement for extended period of time.
2) Tortured, then blocked rapid tissue regeneration, cause scars.

Secondary Punishments
1) Banishment/ Exile.
2) Stripped of energy- leaving one barely alive.

Final Punishments
1) Memory erased and left on Earth.
2) Completely stripped of energy and left to die on Earth.

Now onto the Laws. Some of them seem trivial or unfair, but they are all important. The goal of the laws is order amongst the undead and secrecy from mortals.

* An immortal may not kill another immortal under any circumstance. The act of killing an immortal for self defense is punishable by primary punishment. The act of killing an immortal for any other reason is punishable by final punishment.

*An immortal may not record events pertaining to the after-life in any way. This includes: writing, photographs, video recording, audio recording, word of mouth to mortals, etc. The violation of this is punishable by secondary punishment and all morals involved are to be killed.

* When an immortal kills a mortal they must either (a) bring the body to an after-life realm for disposal and completely clean the crime scene, or (b) keep the murder simple so that it'll appear as a regular homicide. Neglect of either of these is punishable by primary punishment.

* A realm god may set laws and punishments for his kingdom as he sees fit, but they only apply to immortals in that realm. If one of these laws is broken outside of the realm, it doesn't apply.

So that's pretty much it. There are others, but these three are the main ones.
